Week 6: A Study of Arcs

Session Review

esuming my experiments and practice with the bouncing ball, this academic session I have found to serve as a beneficial refresher to what I learned previously in the human locomotion module. Moreover, the purpose of ARC cycles is to apply a layer of natural movement since if a curved arc was not applied thwn the movement of the subject would be robotic and rigid. Furthermore, discovering the create motion paths tool (figure a)  was rather helpful since I could manipulate each keyframe for the bouncing ball within the perspective window which I repeat was incredibly beneficial,

Task

  • Re-render your scenes, however, this time set up and create a scene out of a few polygons
  • Render animation for blake and bouncy balls

Resuming the facial animation I began during the previous session, I have experimeted with more of the facial controllers on the Blake character rig.

Furthermore, after various experimental expressions, I have decided to save and develop a animaion where the Blake character demonstrates a shocked expression as shown in figure a. Moreover, I am continuing to consult my copy of the animators survival kit and attempting to apply most of the principles such as anticipation and timing into this current animation. Also, I have discovered that the blake character rig's left hand seems to be detached from it left arm and attempting to combine the entire model has proven unsuccessful. Considering this setback i have simply begun to animate the  right arm in the blake angry animation (figure b).

In addition, I have begun to consult a book named "3d Graphics & Animation" and the theory aand techniques I have learned in the photography nodule and attempt to experiment with lighting and try and create different aesthetic tones to a scene.
